class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\">El Consejo Nacional Agropecuario (CNA), \u00f3rgano de los empresarios mexicanos del sector, confi\u00f3 este martes en que la resoluci\u00f3n del panel de controversias que Estados Unidos abri\u00f3 con M\u00e9xico por las restricciones al ma\u00edz transg\u00e9nico se d\u00e9 con base en evidencias cient\u00edficas.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>Mario Puente, vicepresidente de Sanidad e Inocuidad Agroalimentaria del CNA, sostuvo que el resultado de este panel, que cuestiona la prohibici\u00f3n de la importaci\u00f3n de ma\u00edz amarillo estadounidense, debe ser una normativa basada en ciencia.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>\u201c(Esto) para que podamos tener esa certidumbre de hacia d\u00f3nde vamos como sector agroalimentario\u201d, declar\u00f3 el empresario en una rueda de prensa.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>En tanto, David Soriano, director general de inocuidad Agroalimentaria, Acu\u00edcola y Pesquera del Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasica), coment\u00f3 que las decisiones se sostienen en la ciencia, por lo que enfatiz\u00f3 que \u201cel caso del ma\u00edz no ser\u00e1 la excepci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>\u201cNosotros apostamos y estamos convencidos de que debe prevalecer la parte cient\u00edfica en la toma de decisiones\u201d, dijo.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>La Oficina de la Representante Comercial de Estados Unidos (USTR, en ingl\u00e9s) notific\u00f3 la semana pasada su intenci\u00f3n de abrir un panel arbitral bajo el Tratado entre M\u00e9xico, Estados Unidos y Canad\u00e1 (T-MEC) por las restricciones a la importaci\u00f3n de ma\u00edz amarillo que impuso el presidente Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>Pese a ello, el Gobierno mexicano no ha solicitado evidencia cient\u00edfica del Senasica para defender su postura contra el ma\u00edz amarillo estadounidense frente al T-MEC, seg\u00fan el funcionario del Senasica, organismo encargado de vigilar y regular que los productos animales y vegetales que se importan, exportan y comercializan en el pa\u00eds no generen un da\u00f1o a la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>\u201cAl d\u00eda de hoy, mi Direcci\u00f3n General (de inocuidad Agroalimentaria, Acu\u00edcola y Pesquera), no tiene solicitud de esa informaci\u00f3n (por parte de la Secretar\u00eda de Econom\u00eda)\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>El funcionario apunt\u00f3 que si la Secretar\u00eda de Econom\u00eda lo solicita, el Senasica est\u00e1 dispuesto a colaborar con la informaci\u00f3n sobre los aspectos fitosanitarios del ma\u00edz que puedan ser relevantes.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>La Secretar\u00eda de Econom\u00eda ha afirmado que est\u00e1 preparada para defender la posici\u00f3n mexicana ante este panel internacional y demostrar que la regulaci\u00f3n nacional es consistente con los compromisos suscritos en el T-MEC y que las medidas impugnadas no tienen afectaciones comerciales.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>Soriano precis\u00f3 que Senasica, que depende de la Secretar\u00eda de Agricultura y Desarrollo rural (Sader), solo podr\u00e1 colaborar con informaci\u00f3n fitosanitaria, que tiene que ver con \u201clos efectos que pudiera tener hacia la sanidad vegetal. Esto es, la eficiencia que tiene este producto\u201d.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>El directivo del Senasica dijo que los aspectos medioambientales le corresponden a la Secretar\u00eda de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (Semarnat), mientras que lo relativo a la salud a la Comisi\u00f3n Federal de Protecci\u00f3n Contra Riesgos Sanitarios (Cofepris).<\/p><p style=\"line-height: var(--wp--typography--line-height, var(--global--line-height-body));\"><br>\u201cA nosotros solamente nos corresponde los aspectos de
