anunci\u00f3 este martes un nuevo acuerdo arancelario con Jap\u00f3n con grav\u00e1menes &#8220;rec\u00edprocos&#8221; del 15 %.<br \/><br \/>En una publicaci\u00f3n en la plataforma Truth Social, el mandatario calific\u00f3 el pacto de &#8220;gigante, quiz\u00e1s el m\u00e1s grande nunca conseguido&#8221;, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que Jap\u00f3n invertir\u00e1 550.000 millones de d\u00f3lares en EE.UU. y que su pa\u00eds se quedar\u00e1 con el 90 % de las ganancias.<br \/><br \/>&#8220;Este acuerdo traer\u00e1 miles de trabajos (&#8230;) y Jap\u00f3n abrir\u00e1 su pa\u00eds al comercio, incluyendo autom\u00f3viles, camiones, arroz y otros productos de agricultura&#8221;, detall\u00f3 el presidente.<br \/><br \/>El anuncio de Trump llega el mismo d\u00eda que el negociador japon\u00e9s en cuestiones de aranceles, Ryosei Akazawa, dijera que aspiraba llegar a un acuerdo con Washington antes del 1 de agosto.<br \/><br \/>Para esa fecha, el Gobierno de Trump hab\u00eda amenazado con imponer un aranceles del 25 % a la importaci\u00f3n de bienes japoneses.<br \/><br \/>El pasado 11 de julio, el canciller japon\u00e9s, Takeshi Iwaya, se reuni\u00f3 con el secretario de Estado de EE.UU., Marco Rubio, durante la reuni\u00f3n de ministros de relaciones exteriores de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Naciones del Sudeste Asi\u00e1tico (ASEAN).<br \/><br \/>Jap\u00f3n fue el quinto socio comercial m\u00e1s importante para EE.UU. en 2024, representando un 4,3 % de todo el comercio y m\u00e1s de 148.000 millones de d\u00f3lares en importaciones del pa\u00eds asi\u00e1tico, seg\u00fan datos del gobierno.<br \/><br \/>Los autom\u00f3viles y sus partes y accesorios son la principal exportaci\u00f3n desde Jap\u00f3n a EE.UU., por una cantidad de m\u00e1s de 46.000 millones de d\u00f3lares en 2023, seg\u00fan datos del Observatorio de Complejidad Econ\u00f3mica (OEC, en ingl\u00e9s).<br \/><br \/>Jap\u00f3n ya paga un arancel del 25 % en el sector automovil\u00edstico y el anuncio de Trump de hoy no deja claro si el acuerdo modifica este gravamen.<br \/><br \/>El presidente estadounidense se ha quejado en varias ocasiones sobre el desequilibrio entre las importaciones que EE.UU. hace de veh\u00edculos japoneses y los autom\u00f3viles estadounidenses que se compran en Jap\u00f3n.<br \/><br \/>En 2024, EE.UU. import\u00f3 autos japoneses por un valor del 18,6 % de total de las importaciones de veh\u00edculos, siendo Jap\u00f3n el segundo mayor proveedor despu\u00e9s de M\u00e9xico.<br \/><br \/>Por contraste, en el mismo a\u00f1o, EE.UU. solo export\u00f3 un
